Communities of interest with information relevant to the external verification process for a particular facility are encouraged to contact the verifier with this information. Individuals interested in becoming TSM verifiers can complete the TSM online training program at their own pace or register for the Mining Association of Canada’s annual verifier training workshop.

To become an eligible TSM Verification Service Provider (VSP), a verifier must meet complete a TSM training workshop and meet the conditions outlined in the TSM VSP Terms of Reference.

TSM Verification Oversight Process
The TSM verification oversight process aims to ensure that active verifiers conform with the Terms of Reference for Verifiers and that they demonstrate sound interpretation and application of TSM protocol requirements. The process includes direct oversight of verifiers, a general evaluation of effectiveness of certain elements of TSM verification, and an annual report to share findings and recommendations.
