Alexa Dumaine is an Underground Production Shifter at the Newmont Musselwhite mine. She is the first aid specialist on the team that recently won the Ontario Mine Rescue provincial competition and is proud that Musselwhite has some of the best emergency responders in Ontario. A graduate of the University of British Columbia Mining Engineering program, Alexa served as co-captain of the UBC Mining Games Team and led her graduating class on a field tour of mining operations in Peru. The Newmont value of safety strongly resonates with her; she believes that we all have a responsibility to make sure that our teammates go home safe.
