THE VOICE OF THE CANADIAN

MINING INDUSTRY SINCE 1935

Protocols & Guides

The TSM Guiding Principles are backed by a suite of protocols against which mining companies measure and publicly report their performance in the annual TSM Progress Reports.

Each protocol is made up of a set of indicators that are designed to measure the quality and comprehensiveness of facility-level management systems and are intended to provide the public with an overview of the industry’s performance in key environmental and social areas.

Several protocols are also accompanied by framework documents that describe in detail what member companies commit to for these areas. All TSM frameworks, protocols and associated documents are available in the menu to the left of this page.

The TSM protocols are available in Spanish here. The TSM Responsible Sourcing Alignment Supplement is available here.
