Anna Johnston is a public interest environmental lawyer at West Coast Environmental Law, where her work focuses on climate, biodiversity, impact assessment and constitutional law. She received her BA and LLB from the University of Victoria and a LLM from Dalhousie University. Anna is a member of the Minister’s Advisory Council on Impact Assessment, co-chairs the Environmental Planning and Assessment Caucus of the Canadian Environmental Network, and has authored numerous reports, papers and book chapters on impact assessment and the constitutional division of powers. She has appeared before appellate courts in Alberta and Ontario, as well as the Supreme Court of Canada. Anna is a recipient of the King Charles III Coronation Medal for her work in environmental law.
