Canada’s miners condemn discrimination, racism and sexism

The Mining Association of Canada said Wednesday the commitment hinged on strengthening equity, diversity and inclusion in workplace culture, policies, procedures and practices; confronting conscious and unconscious bias and individual and systemic racism, sexism, ableism and discrimination; increasing representation of underrepresented groups, and collaboration; and enhanced reporting.

MAC awards 2018 Paul Stothart Memorial Scholarship

Yesterday, the Mining Association of Canada (MAC) reported that Poonam Madan has been awarded the 2018 Paul Stothart Memorial Scholarship in Mineral Economics. This annual scholarship recognises the innovative work by some of Canada’s students currently pursuing degrees in economics, mineral economics or mining commerce.
