Sophie Bergeron

Sophie Bergeron has extensive experience in Canada’s mining industry having worked in engineering, operations and business fields within the sector at mines across the Americas and in her present role as VP of HSES Energy and Minerals for Rio Tinto. Sophie, a champion of health, safety and sustainability in the mining sector, has been recognized as one of the top global inspirational women in mining by Women In Mining and was one of the first women ever to join a mine rescue team in Canada.
