Este documento describe la iniciativa Hacia una Minería Sostenible® (TSM®): qué es y cómo funciona. El objetivo es ofrecer una descripción detallada de la iniciativa para las empresas mineras, proveedores de servicios de verificación y otros con interés en conocer más sobre TSM.

A pesar de comenzar como una iniciativa de la Asociación minera canadiense en 2004, TSM ha sido adoptada desde entonces por otras nueve asociaciones en todo el mundo.
