Minería y conservación de la biodiversidad 2017

En la Asociación Minera de Canadá (AMC), la conservación de la biodiversidad 1 es un compromiso establecido en los principios orientadores de la iniciativa “Hacia una Minería Sustentable”. Los miembros de la Asociación Minera de Canadá reconocen que el acceso a la tierra y la licencia social de la empresa para accionar depende de las prácticas de responsabilidad social, medioambiental y económica; y que hay una fuerte tendencia de los negocios para apoyar la conservación de la biodiversidad. Los miembros de la Asociación Minera de Canadá creen que la minería realizada en conjunto con las comunidades de interés puede coexistir con la conservación de la biodiversidad.
