Graymont is a global leader in lime and limestone solutions. Uses for our products include the purification of air and water, and the production of items essential to a modern economy such as steel, paper, and metals. Graymont is also the strategic partner of Mexican-based Grupo Calidra, the largest lime producer in Latin America.
Professionally managed and family owned, the company has been in operation for over 75 years. Graymont aims to be the preferred supplier, employer, and partner of choice wherever we operate.
Contributing to a decarbonized world by providing essential lime and limestone solutions.
TSM Performance
2023 is the third TSM assessment year and first third party assessed results for Graymont’s quicklime plants in Quebec. The verification by the third party have confirmed for the most part Graymont’s self-assessment. The Water Stewardship as well as the Safety and Health protocols are the areas both sites perform best.
The Biodiversity Conservation Management Protocol is the one requiring the most improvement. Graymont’s assessed sites have been operating for at least a century. Latest site expansion have followed the most up to date management practices regarding biodiversity, but legacy areas have yet to include a comprehensive biodiversity management program. Nevertheless, identified species with conservation statuses are managed accordingly in any sites.
There is no reporting for the Tailing Management Protocol as Graymont’s operations do not involve the production of mine tailings.
