Tata Steel Minerals Canada Ltd.

Incorporated in 2010, Tata Steel Minerals Canada Ltd. (TSMC) is a partnership between Tata Steel (77.68%), the Government of Quebec (18%) and New Millennium Iron Corp. (4.32%). TSMC is part of the Tata Group of companies, and Tata Steel, a Fortune 500 Company,is among the top producers of steel in the world with 70,000 employees working across five continents.

We mine and process high-grade iron ore from our multiple isolated hematite deposits that are found over 30 kilometres in the Menihek region of Labrador and northern Quebec, near Schefferville, and contain from < 1 million to 50 million tonnes of high-grade ore. Fines for sintering and superfine material from our beneficiation plant are produced with a minimum iron content of 64% Fe while our Direct Shipping Ore facilities crush, screen and dry 60%-62% Fe iron ore for direct shipping. Our product is railed to Sept-Îles for shipping to our customers worldwide. We have to date achieved sales of over 10 million tonnes of product.
