IAMGOLD Corporation

IAMGOLD is an intermediate gold producer and developer based in Canada with operating mines in North America and West Africa. The Company is building the large-scale, long life Côté Gold project in Canada in partnership with Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd., which is expected to commence production in early 2024. In addition, the Company has an established portfolio of early stage and advanced exploration projects within high potential mining districts in Canada.

Guided by the vision to achieve Zero Harm®, IAMGOLD conducts mining activities with a commitment to reaching the highest standards in human health and safety, minimizing impacts on the environment, and working cooperatively with host communities. The Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM) initiative is strongly embedded in IAMGOLD’s Sustainability Standard, operating practices and pursuit of excellence.

IAMGOLD has participated in the TSM initiative for its operations in Canada and abroad since 2007. This 2023 self-assessment demonstrated strong performance across Indigenous and Community Relation; Tailings Management; and Water. It also highlighted several opportunities for continuous improvement.  Following the self-assessment, IAMGOLD is actively working on developing action plans to achieve and/or maintain high ratings of Level A or greater across all protocols. In 2024, IAMGOLD will undergo an external audit of the 2024 TSM self-assessment regarding IAMGOLD-managed operations and the Company’s head office.
